After School programs In addition to the basic offerings listed above, our organization works with various community partners (such as elementary schools) to provide artistic and cultural after school activities for elementary age children. These programs vary depending on the site and the availability of volunteers and resources. One of our several partners is Farmworker Housing Development Corporation in Salem at Colonia Libertad. We partner with them in their After School Program that includes tutoring, literacy, nutrition and environmental education. For a sample list of activities, please click here. Our programs are meant to augment the resources available to students at their school.

Families -
Our goal is to support the development of strong, nurturing families through the prevention, intervention and solution of situations that threaten the safety, health and well-being of our clients and of their families.Crisis Assistance Offered at all of our locations, our service center staff and volunteers are trained to provide case management, information and resource assistance, to our clients. Although each case is unique in its own right, many of the emergencies we assist with fall under the categories of housing, food insecurity, and lack of access to health care. Sadly, many of our immigrant clients have fallen prey to questionable business practices, and in some cases employment and housing discrimination, that pushes their family into hunger and homelessness. Whenever possible, every effort is made to connect our clients to a service or program that will help them to gain and maintain stability in their lives.
Family Resources and Support Mano a Mano Family Center is trained for delivering the evidence-based parenting program, Strengthening Families, in both English and Spanish. This program is suitable for families with at least one child between the ages of 10 and 14 years old.
We partner with the Salem-Keizer Coalition for Equality to offer parent support groups that promote positive developmental assets in families, using the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets for youth as a learning and conversation tool.
