At least twice the number of families needed assistance with basic needs, and crisis assistance than in 2016. We saw few signs of widespread economic improvement. Generally, what we observed is that the most vulnerable became even more vulnerable in 2017.\r\n\r\nThis year was particularly hard and stressful for immigrant families in our area.\r\n\r\nThe most difficult months were the first three months of 2017. Throughout the year we served more than 2,000 families who sought out Mano a Mano.
